BIO:
Josh is a final year Physics student at Swansea and chair of the organising committee for this years’ preliminaries. He has been President of the Swansea Uni Physics Society since 2023. He’s interested in pursuing further studies with a focus looking forward to a career in Nuclear Energy, ideally in fusion. Josh plays tennis, enjoys movies, and keeps telling himself he should read more books.
Iwan Cotgreave
Secretary
BSc. Physics with Particle Physics & Cosmology
BIO:
Iwan is also a final year Physics student and a key co-organiser on the organising committee for this years’ preliminaries. His main interest is in particle physics and quantum technologies. Outside of the University Iwan is an avid scouter and a keen church bellringer leading him to travel up and down the country and seeing all sorts of weird and wonderful places. He is also Secretary of the Physics Society, and has been since 2022.
Cai Morgan
Social Secretary and Graphic Designer
BSc. Physics
BIO:
Cai is once again a final year Physics Student and Social Secretary/Graphic Designer for this years’ OC. Cai has been responsible for designing the swan h-bar logo and all the other social media posts while being berated by Josh. His main areas of interest are simulation and practical work. Cai can eat a raw onion without flinching.
Amelia Seal
Volenteer
BSc. Biology with a Year in Research
BIO:
Amelia is a 3rd Year Biology Student currently doing a Year in Research, and a volunteer on this year’s OC, and will be working behind the scenes on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly. She is also the Trip Secretary of the Physics Society this year. Her main areas of research/interest are plants, butterflies, bees and ecological consultancy. Amelia is a keen golf player and has a handicap of 10.
Tom Navin
Volenteer
BSc. Physics with a Foundation Year
BIO:
Tom is a 2nd year Physics student and volunteer on the OC this year, and will also be working on the day behind the scenes to make sure everything goes to plan. He has been on the Physics Society committee for 2 years, and is in charge of planning the end of year formal. He is also the student representative for the School of Physics, Biosciences and Geography. Tom has a strong interest in nuclear physics and loves a good pop anthem.
