
PLANCKS “Physics League Across Numerous Countries for Kick-Ass Students” PLANCKS is an annual international theoretical physics competition that brings together students from around the world for a programme of social, cultural, and educational events.
The competition consists series of physics problems, covering a wide variety of topics in physics and requiring varying degrees of previous knowledge.
The winners of the UK and Ireland preliminaries, will be selected to participate in the International PLANCKS competition.
An amazing event attended by fellow students from many different countries around the world.
This website managed by the Institute of Physics (IOP) and the UK&IRE PLANCKS Advisory Board (PAB).
Every year the IOP Student Community hosts the UK&IRE PLANCKS Preliminary in a new location. This has ranged from the IOP HQ itself to Edinburgh, Swansea and a lot of universities in-between.
The IOP has also hosted two international finals, PLANCKS London 2020 (0th online edition) and PLANCKS Dublin 2024.
